Ricky Cummings conducted a clinic at TAPS Equestrian Center on May 2nd covering groundwork foundation exercises to improve a horse owner’s partnership with their horse. Six horses and their owners participated in the clinic, which was well received and enjoyed by the participants and the audience. Participants practiced as a group and with one-on-one guidance from Ricky on the groundwork exercises. One participant, Cathy Hess who brought her TWH named Walker, sent an email to Ricky following the clinic saying, “I just wanted to tell you what a great groundwork clinic yesterday. It was just right for the start of the riding season. The size of the class was good and the people were very nice. I really liked the amount we learned and the hands on part with help just a shout away. I am excited about the next clinic.”

Clinic participants left with homework to prepare them and their horses for the next clinic on June 6th. The exercises taught in this clinic will serve as a foundation for the next clinic when Rick will demonstrate how the groundwork exercises transfer to the saddle.

We hope to see you on June 6th at TAPS Equestrian Center!
